Remington College “Adopt Our School” Vote
Mobile, Ala. – (August 20, 2010) – The votes are in and Orange Beach Elementary School will receive $2,000 worth of school supplies from Remington College-Mobile Campus.
Orange Beach Elementary received the most votes in Remington College’s Adopt Our School program, an effort by Remington College to assist local public schools with up to $2,000 worth of school supplies. Nominations and voting were done online by the public.
The staff at Orange Beach Elementary has requested school supplies, which includes 30 boxes of copy paper, 4 packages of toner, 10 packages of laminating film and $500 worth of poster paper.
The school supplies will be presented on Wednesday, August 25 at 11:00 a.m. The school is located at 4900 Wilson Blvd. in Orange Beach. Media are welcome to cover the event.
“We congratulate Orange Beach Elementary and can’t wait to deliver the school supplies,” said Stephen Backman, Remington College-Mobile Campus President. “We know our local public schools budgets are very tight and hope this will be a big boost to the students and faculty.”
Remington College-Mobile Campus will hold another Adopt Our School competition in 2011.
The Adopt Our School program is part of “Remington College Reaches Out,” a series of community initiatives and charitable efforts to mark the college’s 25th anniversary in 2010.
