Up to $2,000 Worth of School Supplies are Available through Remington College “Adopt Our School” Program – Dallas, Fort Worth
Public decides two winning Dallas-Fort Worth schools through Facebook and text message voting
Dallas, Texas – (January 27, 2011) – Two Dallas-Fort Worth schools will win up to $2,000 worth of school supplies through the Remington College Adopt Our School program.
The goal of the program is to help out public schools in Remington College campus communities at a time when school budgets are very tight.
Here’s how it works:
All K-12 public schools within 15 miles of the Remington College-Dallas Campus and Remington College-Fort Worth Campus zip codes are eligible and have automatically been nominated.
The public can vote for their favorite school via Facebook or text message. Anyone is eligible to vote, but can only cast one vote per day. Voting begins on January 31 and runs through March 13. To vote, people should go to www.Facebook.com/RemingtonCollege
The school that gets the most votes wins and will receive up to $2,000 worth of school supplies or educational materials that they request.
Last year’s winning schools were Elkins Elementary, which received a high-tech classroom learning system; and Ed Hodges Elementary, which received more than 1,000 pens, 100 packs of crayons, 100 pair of scissors, 1,440 pencils and 225 packs of notebook paper.
