Remington College-Shreveport Campus Holds National Night Out Event on Tuesday, October 2
Community invited to take part in events focused on safety, family and fun
Shreveport, La. – (September 14, 2012) - Remington College-Shreveport Campus will hold a National Night Out event featuring safety, educational and fun activities for the community.
The event will be held on Tuesday, October 2 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event is free and the public is invited to participate.
National Night Out started nearly three decades ago to build partnerships between communities and police to fight crime and promote safety. The annual event provides families a variety of fun and interactive activities while also building safety awareness and strengthening anti-crime initiatives.
Activities will include:
- Visits with local law enforcement, fire and EMS crews
- Life Air Rescue
- Bake Sale
- DJ
- Face-painting
- Safety identification for children
- Safety-related coloring books for kids
- Refreshments
