Remington College-Tampa Campus Treats Cancer Survivors to a Day of Beauty
Cosmetology students and instructors to provide complimentary hair styling, makeup, manicures
On Saturday, October 6, from 9 am to 2 pm, former Moffitt Cancer Center patients will be treated to free haircuts, styling, makeup and manicures in The Salon at Remington.
The event is being held in partnership with the Moffitt Cancer Center as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
“Cancer patients go through so much, so we’re looking forward to being able to treat these women to a day of beauty where they can relax, feel good and enjoy looking their best,” said Ken Heinemann, Remington College-Tampa Campus president.
The Remington College Cosmetology Program teaches students the art of hair, skin and nail care through traditional classroom instruction and hands-on training. During their training, students have the opportunity to work with real clients in a salon-like setting.
Media are invited to come out and cover the event. Please be aware that all the available slots for cancer survivors have been filled for this event.
The Salon at Remington is located at 6302 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Suite 400 in Tampa.
