Remington College-Mobile Campus Student Wins Scholarship from the Gulf Coast Process Technology Alliance

Deena McCormack is the third Remington College student to be awarded a scholarship from the GCPTA

Mobile, Ala. – (January 2, 2012) - Remington College-Mobile Campus congratulates Deena McCormack for earning a scholarship from the Gulf Coast Process Technology Alliance. The group awards a $750 scholarship to outstanding students studying Process Control Engineering Technology (PCET).

Ms. McCormack, who is pursuing her associate’s degree in Remington College’s Process Control Engineering Technology Program, beat out students from several other colleges in the Mobile area.

“We’re very proud of Deena, she’s an excellent student and an admirable person and very deserving of this recognition,” said Stephen Backman, Remington College-Mobile Campus President.

Ms. McCormack is the third Remington College-Mobile Campus student to receive a scholarship from the Gulf Coast Process Technology Alliance, an organization of educators and PCET industry representatives.

The Remington College Process Control Engineering Technology Program is designed to prepare students for entry-level careers working on pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, boilers and furnaces in a variety of industrial fields, such as petroleum, pulp and paper, food processing, chemical manufacturing, power generation and wastewater treatment.[1]
