Students Gain Opportunity for Real-World Training at Shreveport Campus

SHREVEPORT, LA – Remington College announces the opening of its Shreveport campus located at 2106 Bert Kouns Industrial Loop. The campus will offer both degree and diploma programs in a variety of technical and career fields. This location is the third Remington College campus in the state of Louisiana, joining the College’s two other campuses in Lafayette and Baton Rouge and its 15 other campuses nationwide.
Shreveport Campus students will have the opportunity to gain the knowledge and skills they need to obtain entry-level positions in the following career fields:
- Business Administration (Associate of Science Degree Program)
- Criminal Justice (Associate of Science Degree Program)
- Medical Assisting (Diploma Program)
- Medical Insurance and Coding (Diploma Program)
The Shreveport Campus will offer day and evening classes, financial assistance (available for those who qualify), and help with resumé development, interviewing tips, and job placement through the dedicated efforts of its Career Services Department.
Remington College – Shreveport Campus works with local employers who comprise its Program Advisory Committees. The Program Advisory Committee reviews the curriculum, equipment and facilities for each program to assure that the Campus’s programs are appropriate in length and content and that facilities, including the laboratories, library and other learning resources, are sufficient and appropriate to serve the needs of both students and employers.
Campus President Jerry Driskill states, “Remington College is excited about the opportunity to work with the Shreveport Chamber of Commerce and looks forward to getting to know the Caddo Parish business community. Consulting with local business professionals helps us to serve the educational and employment needs of the people of Shreveport and Caddo Parish more effectively.”
Campus hours are 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, and 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
