Remington College Cosmetology Programs Offer Haircut, Manicure, or Pedicure for Food Drive Donations
“Cuts for Cause” helps fight hunger in thirteen Remington College communities
Heathrow, Fla. – (October 11, 2013) – Remington College is again holding its “Cuts for Cause” event to collect food for needy families.
Here’s how it works: anyone who brings in a can of food or other non-perishable food donation to a Remington College student salon in November gets a complimentary haircut, manicure, or pedicure.
The salon services will be provided by students and instructors in the Remington College Cosmetology Diploma Program, which takes a hands-on approach to teaching students the art of hair, skin and nail care. Cuts for Cause and similar programs allow students, under the supervision of instructors, to have the opportunity to work with real clients in a salon-like setting.
Remington College student salons are located on thirteen campuses: Baton Rouge, Memphis, Tampa, Houston (three locations), Cleveland, Mobile, Lafayette, Nashville, Dallas, Columbia (South Carolina), and Honolulu.
