Remington College Mobile Campus Offers New Criminal Justice Degree Program

Diploma program helps prepare students for careers in the criminal justice field

Mobile, Ala. (August 23, 2016) – Remington College Mobile Campus is now enrolling students for a new Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice program.

The program is designed to help students prepare for a variety of entry-level careers in the field of criminal justice – such as corrections, loss prevention and security1 – and can be completed in as few as 18 months.2

The curriculum covers the fundamentals of today’s criminal justice system, including corrections, investigations, loss prevention and security. Courses include3:

  • Criminal Law and the Constitution
  • Criminal Investigations and Evidence Processing
  • Law Enforcement Operations and Community Policing
  • Juvenile Justice Systems
  • Security Management

Courses are taught by instructors with real-world experience, many of whom spent years working for agencies in the Mobile area.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the job outlook in the criminal justice field varies by profession. Employment for security guards or gaming surveillance officers is expected to grow by 5% from 2014 to 2024,4 while employment for correctional officers and jailer is expected to grow 4% over the same period.5
