Remington College Memphis Campus launches dental assisting diploma program with ribbon cutting

Community invited to view new dental assisting lab

What: Remington College Memphis Campus is celebrating the start of its new dental assisting diploma program and the opening of its lab with a ribbon cutting event and open house. The public is invited to view the lab and learn more about the new program and other career-focused training opportunities.
When: Noon to 4 p.m. on March 2, 2018

Who: The ribbon cutting event and open house is open to the public.
Why: The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics expects dental assisting careers to grow by 19 percent between 2016 and 2026, which is much faster than the average growth rate for occupations. With the high demand in jobs, more individuals may be looking to start their career in dental assisting. Remington College’s new program will be the stepping stone students need to achieve their professional goals.1 Dental assistants perform administrative and clinical tasks, and are often responsible for instructing patients on postoperative and general oral healthcare.
