Remington College Mobile Campus students donate time to SOZO Place Children’s Home

Plans will be presented at dedication May 19

MOBILE, Ala. (April 19, 2018) – Remington College Mobile Campus’s Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) Diploma Program is all about teaching its students how to apply their skills in the real world. Now, the campus’s CADD students are doing just that – for a good cause.
The students recently put their skills to use, donating their time to draft plans to make the SOZO Place Children’s Home a reality.
The building will have a special dedication ceremony at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 19, at the future home of SOZO Place Children’s Home, 1077 Hawthorn Road, Tibbie.
SOZO Place is a nonprofit organization with the mission of providing a Christ-centered home environment to children without homes and to children in crisis. They plan to do so by providing a safe, peaceful place for physical, emotional, and spiritual healing, growth and well-being.
This event will serve as an opportunity for those behind the SOZO Place to share their vision, mission and plans for the new building, as well as for other community members to get involved.
Students participating in the CADD Diploma Program at Remington College learn about a variety of types of drafting, as well as about career development fundamentals. The program is meant to prepare students for a number of entry-level positions.1
Remington College Mobile Campus is located at 828 Downtowner Loop West.
