Remington College Shreveport Campus reaches out to the community this May
Events include community health and career fair, Adulting 101 education series
SHREVEPORT, La. (April 26, 2018) – Whether you’re looking to start a new career, check in on your health or learn how to “adult,” Remington College Shreveport Campus has an event for you this May.
The campus will host two free events for the public—a health and career fair and “Adulting 101.”
The Community Health and Career Fair will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, May 11, 2018. The event includes job opportunities, health screenings, and information about local resources. Life Share Blood Centers will be on hand collecting blood donations.
Remington College Shreveport Campus is also partnering with the Bossier Parish Library for Adulting 101, an eight-week community education series. The sessions will occur from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. weekly on Tuesday evenings, starting May 8, 2018, to June 26, 2018.
Job seekers at the Community Health and Career Fair should arrive in business attire and have multiple copies of their resumes. Some of the businesses who will be looking for potential candidates include:

The Adulting 101 education series is intended for 17 to 23-year olds. Topics covered include everything from personal finance to personal safety. Area specialists and guest speakers will share their expertise with attendees, including preparing for higher education, what to expect in college, and using the library to save money. Other topics include setting goals, discovering self-worth, and home and car basics.
Both events will take place at Remington College Shreveport Campus, located at 2106 Bert Kouns Industrial Loop, Shreveport, Louisiana 71118.
