Remington College Memphis Campus offers new Patient Care Technician Diploma Program

New program now enrolling

 MEMPHIS, Tenn. (May 16, 2018) – Remington College Memphis Campus is expanding its offerings to students with its new Patient Care Technician Diploma Program. Enrollment is now open and classes start soon.
This program provides training in serving patients’ basic needs and working alongside other healthcare professionals, including the basic elements of patient care and medical terminology.
This diploma program is divided into eight four-week academic periods, and it typically takes 32 weeks for full-time students to complete.1 Students will be trained for a number of entry-level positions, including patient care technician, patient transporter, personal care aide, mental health technician, phlebotomist and medication aide in a variety of locations such as hospitals, long-term care facilities and home health agencies upon completion.2
When students successfully complete all program requirements, graduates will receive a Diploma in Patient Care Technician.

  • Basic Patient Care Technician Roles and Responsibilities
  • Medical Terminology
  • Human Anatomy and Physiology
  • Electrocardiography and Phlebotomy
  • Rehabilitative Care and Therapeutic Modalities
  • Effective Patient Care
  • Capstone and Certification Preparation
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the need for nursing assistants and orderlies is expected to grow by 11 percent from 2016 to 2026, which is faster than the average for all occupations.
