Voting now Underway for Remington College “Adopt Our School” Program – Columbia

Columbia, S.C. – (March 3, 2010) – Voting is now underway for Columbia schools competing for up to $2000 worth of school supplies in Remington College’s Adopt Our School program.

The concept is simple: You nominate. Your community votes. A school benefits.

The following schools were nominated and are eligible for the donation:

Blythewood Middle School North Springs Elementary School
Camden Elementary School Oak Pointe Elementary School
Caughman Road Elementary School Pendergrass-Fairwold School

Columbia High School Pineview Elementary School
Cross Roads Middle School Piney Grove Elementary School
Eau Claire High School Pleasant Hill Middle School
Edward E. Taylor  Elementary School Red Bank Elementary School
Estill High School Richland Northeast High School
Gadsden Elementary School Ridge View High School

From March 3 through March 31, the public can vote online for the school of their choice at http://www.AdoptOurSchool.com. Voter may cast one vote per day, per email address. The school that receives the most votes will be the winner.

The winning school will receive up to $2,000 worth of supplies.

Based in Heathrow, Florida, Remington College offers diploma and degree programs at 20 campuses throughout the United States, including the Remington College-Columbia Campus. Its mission is to provide career-focused education through a variety of programs, including nursing, cosmetology, business office management and criminal justice.

The Adopt Our School program is part of “Remington College Reaches Out,” a series of community initiatives and charitable efforts to mark the college’s 25th anniversary in 2010.
