Remington College-Little Rock Campus Holds Allied Health Day on May 4
Public is invited to event that will focus on
health and education
Little Rock, Ark. – (April 29, 2010) – Remington College-Little Rock Campus will hold an Allied Health Day and invites the public to take part in a day of activities that will focus on health, safety and education.
Allied Health Day will be held on Tuesday, May 4 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on the Remington College-Little Rock Campus.
The event will feature a variety of health-related activities and booths. Participating groups include:
- Arkansas Children’s Hospital
- Little Rock Parks and Recreation Department
- Little Rock Police Department
- Curves
- American Diabetes Association
- Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office
- Youth Accident Prevention Association
- YMCA
- Baptist Health
- Sickle Cell Association
- Ted Jolley, DDS
- Elmcroft Assisted Living
Remington College-Little Rock Campus offers three diploma programs for people interested in an education in the healthcare field.
Medical Assisting teaches patient care, laboratory procedures, therapeutic care and medical insurance and bookkeeping basics and can be completed in as few as eight months.
Medical Billing and Coding teaches medical billing systems, fundamentals of anatomy and physiology, HIPPA regulations and medical terminology and can be completed in as few as nine months.
Pharmacy Technician teaches patient profiles, insurance claim forms, stocking and inventory of medications and the workings of a pharmacy for students interested in pursuing entry-level pharmacy technician jobs.*
