Remington College of Nursing Holds Third Graduation Ceremony

Now taking applications for the July 2011 class

Heathrow, Fla. – (February 1, 2011) – Remington College of Nursing recently held its third graduation ceremony. Twenty-nine students took part in the graduation and received their Bachelor of Science in Nursing degrees.

Remington College of Nursing offers an accelerated 12-month Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program[i]. It is designed for people who already have a Bachelor of Science or higher degree in a different field, but want to make a career change and switch to the field of nursing.[ii] The program has received full accreditation by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

Classes are held on Remington’s new campus in Lake Mary, Florida, just north of Orlando. The campus features modern classrooms and a clinical simulation laboratory, which contains human patient simulators, mannequins and medical equipment.

Remington College of Nursing has relationships with more than a dozen health care facilities in the Orlando area to offer students clinical opportunities in addition to their classroom work. These facilities include Orlando Regional Medical Center, Dr. P. Phillips Hospital, Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center Orlando, Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies, South Seminole Hospital, University Behavioral Center, Lake County Health Department, Seminole County Health Department and Hospice of the Comforter.

Faculty members are dedicated, seasoned professionals who bring professional experience in the healthcare field to the classroom. Approximately 25% of the students come to Remington from out-of-state, with their average age being 32 years old.

“I chose Remington College of Nursing because of its 12-month accelerated program, convenient campus location and brand new facilities. I am very happy with my choice; the nursing instructors at Remington College of Nursing are wonderful and I’ve made life-long friends. I would recommend the program to anyone,” said Rachel Canady, a recent graduate.

Remington College of Nursing is now taking applications for its July 2011 class. The early decision deadline is April 1, 2011, with June 3, 2011 as the final application deadline.
