Remington College-Memphis Campus Offers Complimentary Haircuts for Kids
Cuts for Kids event provides two weeks of complimentary
back-to-school haircuts starting July 25
Memphis, Tenn. – (July 5, 2011) – Remington College-Memphis Campus is again offering complimentary back-to-school haircuts for children this summer. The event is called Cuts for Kids and will begin Monday, July 25 and run for two weeks.
Last year, Remington College provided a total 3,312 haircuts across the country through its Cuts for Kids program.
Parents can bring in children ages 17 and under for a complimentary haircut provided by instructors and students in the Remington College-Memphis Campus cosmetology program.
“Back to school expenses can really add up, especially during these tough economic times,” said Lori May, Remington College-Memphis Campus President. “Cuts for Kids is a way for us to help parents save some money and help kids look and feel their best when they go back to school.”
The Cuts for Kids event runs from Monday, July 25 through Saturday, August 6. Parents can make appointments by calling The Student Salon at Remington College at 901-396-8625 or just walk in. The Student Salon at Remington College is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and adds Saturday hours based on demand.
Adults who bring a child in for Cuts for Kids will get 50 percent off select services for themselves, including haircuts, styling and nail care. Contact The Student Salon at Remington College for details.
The Remington College Cosmetology Program teaches students the art of hair, skin and nail care through traditional classroom instruction and hands-on training. Students have the opportunity to work with real clients in a salon-like setting.
The Student Salon at Remington College is located at 2741 Nonconnah Boulevard in Memphis.
