Remington College-Memphis Campus Offers Cuts for Cause in November
Campus cosmetology department offers a complimentary haircut, manicure or pedicure to people who donate non-perishable food items
Memphis, Tenn. – (October 19, 2011) – Remington College-Memphis Campus is holding a food drive to benefit the Mid-South Food Bank and offering a complimentary haircut, manicure or pedicure to anyone who 
brings in a can of food or other non-perishable food donation.
The effort is called Cuts for Cause and will run throughout the month of November.
The complimentary salon services will be provided by students and instructors in the Remington College-Memphis Campus cosmetology program.
“This is an opportunity for people to feel good as they help out needy families in our community, and look good when they leave with a new haircut,” said Lori May, Remington College-Memphis Campus President.
Appointments can be made by calling The Student Salon at Remington College at 901-396-8625; walk-ins are also welcome.
The Student Salon at Remington College is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and adds Saturday hours based on demand.
The Remington College Cosmetology Program teaches students the art of hair, skin and nail care through traditional classroom instruction and hands-on training. Students have the opportunity to work with real clients in a salon-like setting.
The Student Salon at Remington College is located at 2741 Nonconnah Boulevard in Memphis.
