Remington College Cleveland Campus offers new Computer-Aided Design and Drafting Diploma Program

New program now enrolling

CLEVELAND (May 15, 2018) – Remington College Cleveland Campus is expanding its offerings to students with its new Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) Diploma Program. Enrollment is now open and classes start soon.

This program prepares students to create buildings, mechanical devices, electrical systems and more with AutoCAD software. Creativity and precision are combined as students take on varying design and drafting challenges. The program can be completed in as few as 12 months1 and is designed to prepare students for a number of entry-level positions.2
CADD students will receive a laptop included in the cost of tuition as a student resource during the second month of the program.
The curriculum covers:
  • Manual drafting
  • Computer-aided drafting
  • Structural drafting
  • Architectural drafting
  • Mechanical drafting
  • Electrical and electronic drafting
  • Pipes and piping
  • Civil drafting and mapping
  • Creating a career portfolio
CADD technicians may work with engineering firms, contractors, city planners and manufacturers to create technical drawings that give building instructions for everything from computer hard drives to architecture.
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the need for drafters is expected to grow by 7 percent from 2016 to 2026, which is driven by increased construction activity.
